Embracing Our Changing Community: Responding to Cultural Differences

On Friday, July 31, 2009 the Hispanic Leadership Council will be hosting their annual conference at St. Petersburg College. This conference will provide a forum for conversation on current issues facing teachers, staffs, students, families, social workers, mental health counselors and other community members and will identify possible solutions for working with the community. There will be several presentations and forum that will discuss how multicultural diversity and accelerated changes are current reality in our community.

This conference will emphasize a principle approach to address issues based on the active involvement and collaboration of staff, students and community members as well as highlight the best practices that can lead to providing positive outcomes in our schools and community agencies.

Pre-Registration $20 (by July 23, 2009)
