Cold Night Shelters

Homelessness is one of the most critical issues in our community. 2-1-1 Tampa Bay Cares has already handled 8,604 calls this year from individuals and families in need of shelter. It is even more important now that the winter is almost here. In order to increase the number of beds available in the community, the Cold Night Shelter Program is operating in Pinellas County from November 15, 2009 to March 15, 2010 every time the temperature falls below 40 degrees. If you or someone you know needs a warm and safe place to stay or if you want to volunteer assisting homeless families, call 2-1-1 for more information about the program or search our online database (Find Help Button) on our website www.211tampabay.org.
